We do have rules and guidelines to encourage participation and keep the peace between members of our team and community. These rules and guidelines are subject to change if necessary, so please stay up to date on any changes of our rules and guidelines.
Team Rules:
Members must have at least 4 items in their Etsy shop at all times, unless on Vacation Mode. If something comes up and you will be closing your shop temporarily, please notify a team leader or admin to let them know.
Code of Conduct:
Respect each other! This is our biggest rule. We are not here to poke and make fun of each other. Everyone is unique and different and we all deserve the same amount of respect as artists and crafters. Please remember our definition of art: *Anything that stirs an emotional response, good, bad or otherwise.* Many of our members create things that may be against your religious beliefs or lifestyle. The Etsy's Dark Side Street Team embraces diversity, but we will not tolerate hatred towards one another. Negativity towards those you do not agree with will not be tolerated!
We ask that our members conduct themselves in a professional manner within our public team chats and networking communities. Please remember that the focus of our team is to bring attention to our businesses on Etsy. There is nothing wrong with having fun and enjoying yourself, but keep in mind that our goal is to bring awareness to our team in a positive way and to welcome new team members, customers and fans. Future team members, customers and fans should never feel as if they are being turned away from our team because of the negative actions of our members. If we feel that this is ever happening, actions will be taken.
No flaming, trash talking or slandering is allowed. We understand that everyone will not get along 100% of the time and that everyone's opinions and views may vary, but we ask that you refrain from acting out in this manner. Instead, please contact the team leaders, admin or moderators if you have any issues with someone or something they said. We will not tolerate this negative activity.
No private harassing of another member. We ask you not to harass another member via e-mail or private messaging. What do we mean by harassing? Simply this: No badgering or telling them that they are inferior in any way, or any form of slandering, even privately. If a member contacts the team leaders, admin or a moderators with proof that another member is harassing them, actions will be taken.
Please do not speak negatively about our team. This only hurts our team and our members, including yourself. If you have a problem with our team, or a certain member of our team, please contact a team leader directly to discuss your issues. We would like to think that our members care enough about the success of our team to be able to come to us directly if they feel we need to improve in certain areas. Please remember that we can not fix any problems if we are not aware that they exist. Speaking negatively about our team in other public places online and offline only hurts our team and our members, and will not be tolerated.
Consequences of Breaking Rules:
Breaking any of the mandatory Team Rules above will get you removed from the team for lack of participation. Your shop will be removed from our team member lists, and you will no longer have access to our members only team forum or other features. This includes posting access to our networking sites. Members who were not banned from the team are always welcome to rejoin in the future.
The first time that the Code of Conduct is broken, the member will be given a warning, or face possible suspension for 2 weeks. They will not be able to take part in our member forum or any other promotional or team activities for those 2 weeks.
Reasons for Automatic Banning:
This is a case by case situation, and depends on the severity of the case. Team leaders have every right to ban a member depending on that member's actions.
Once again, these rules and guidelines are subject to change as needed. We are a very laid back group, and hope that an occasion will never arise where we need to enforce these rules or consequences. We would like to think that everyone is capable of respecting one another and keeping our team positive.
Thank you!
